What is Love Like Salt?

Super good question.

The name Love Like Salt is inspired by a fairytale where a daughter tells her dad she loves him as much as salt and he gets super pissed until she makes him a gross meal without salt and he’s like “OH YEAH. Salt is that thing I like I didn’t know I liked. You are super smart and love me. Here’s my land, marry a prince maybe.” The end. For some reason, I decided this would be THE BEST name for a business. And it wasn’t taken on Google. Sold.

My name is Carly Jayne. I take bomb photos of food and food products. I do graphic design stuff. And I sell weaving and create weaving patterns. I help people design cookbooks for self-publishing. I should have a few different small businesses but it’s just me managing it all…so Love Like Salt Photography. Love Like Salt Design. Love Like Salt Textiles.

Yeah, I know I know. It doesn’t make any sense. But neither do stores that sell vacuums and sewing machines, or companies that make phones and refrigerators or surf and turf dinners.
I would so MUCH rather be working for YOU or making pretty things than managing 3 small separate businesses, so welcome to my creative little spot. Let’s make it awesome :)
